Privacy Policy
There are no accounts here and nothing to log into, which means there is very little data to explain. This page explains it anyway.

What we collect
Links you submit
A link you paste is sent to our server so it can be checked and passed to the provider that resolves it. It is held in memory for the duration of that request and is not written to a database, a log of visited posts, or any kind of history. Once your response has been sent, it is gone.
Technical request data
Like any website, our server sees your IP address and browser user agent as part of receiving a request. Your IP address is used for one purpose: a short-lived, in-memory rate limit that stops any single visitor from overwhelming the service. That counter expires within a minute and is never stored.
Preferences stored in your browser
Your light or dark theme choice is saved in your browser's local storage so the site looks the same next time. It never leaves your device and is not readable by us. Clearing your browser data removes it.
What we do not collect
- No accounts, names, email addresses or passwords.
- No download history, and no record of which posts you looked at.
- No copies of the files you download. They go from the provider to your browser.
- No advertising identifiers, and no cross-site tracking.
- No social media credentials. You are never asked to sign in to anything.
Cookies
The site sets no tracking cookies. The theme preference described above uses local storage rather than a cookie, and there is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
Third parties
To resolve a link, the submitted address is sent to the media provider configured for this deployment, and, for some platforms, to that platform's own public metadata endpoint to fetch a title and thumbnail. Only the link itself is sent; nothing that identifies you accompanies it. Those services have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.
The site is served from a hosting provider that will keep standard server logs for operational and security reasons.
Children
This site is not aimed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.
Your rights
Rights to access, correct and delete personal data all depend on there being personal data to act on. Because we hold no accounts and store no submissions, there is nothing on our side to retrieve or erase. The theme preference in your browser is yours to clear at any time.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. A change that affected what is collected would be a significant one, and we would say so plainly rather than editing quietly.
